Engineer is a platform for coding, testing and deploying web services implemented as simple JavaScript modules.  It allows developers to become part of an ecosystem of shared functionality by searching for modules and functions while coding, then publishing modules for others to use. It works great as a back-end for a mobile app or a counter-part to other services via auto-generated custom libraries for Java, .NET and soon Objective-C.

This talk will cover the features of Engineer, how to join, and the cool technologies used to make it happen, such as: Mozilla's Rhino, Treehugger JS, Ace JS and Balanced Payments as well as Grails, MongoDB, Solr, and Knockout JS.
