NoSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Document Store, Key-Value Store... Chances are you’ve heard of one of these terms in the past year or so. These technologies are the latest craze in software development. Are they just a fad? Who the hell knows? That’s not in the scope of this presentation. In this presentation, we’ll cover the basics of one NoSQL solution – MongoDB. I’ll give an overview of MongoDB, discuss how it’s different from traditional RDBMS, talk about document design and administration including scaling, replication and sharding.
